Quick and Easy Turkey Sausage Stew 1 - 16 oz package of frozen stew vegetables 2 cups water 1 can tomato soup 1 lb smoked turkey sausage, sliced into ¼ inch pieces ¼ cup ketchup 2 garlic cloves, minced ½ tsp dried basil ¼ tsp pepper In a large saucepan, combine vegetables, soup and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and add remaining ingredients; simmer for 30 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Serves 8. Quick and Easy Frankfurter Stew 2 - 16 oz packages of frozen stew vegetables ½ cup diced celery ½ cup diced onion 1 ½ tsp salt ½ tsp dried thyme ¼ tsp pepper ¼ tsp garlic powder ½ cup milk 4 frankfurters (hot dogs) cut into ½ inch pieces 5 tbsp flour 5 tbsp butter, softened In a large saucepan, combine the first seven ingredients. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer about 10 minutes until vegetables are tender. Add milk and frankfurters; bring to boil again. Blend flour and butter and add to boiling stew, stirring constantly until thickened. Serves 6.
