So you’re supposed to toss your toothbrush after 3 months. Three months on your teeth that is. But before you toss that old toothbrush for good take a look at how they can help your old toothbrush can do double duty in the home. That mini brush of tiny bristles can reach areas in your home you would otherwise have difficulty cleaning. Even your old electric toothbrush will work. Just so you know a household of several people can mean several great sources of toothbrushes every three months. I keep a separate one for each room I use them in and two for the bathroom (you’ll see why). Kitchen Use that old toothbrush around the sink edges and faucets where food can get trapped and grow moldy. Ew! When you wash dishes day in and day out you want extra clean areas where you food may be touching. Bathroom Again use that old toothbrush around sink edges and faucet. Also use a separate toothbrush to get around the screws and hinges on your toilet. I store this one with the toilet brush in their own caddy. Baby’s Room When you clean through baby’s room use that old toothbrush to clean the hinge area on your baby’s diaper pail. These are just a few of the areas you can use a good old toothbrush in cleaning. I also keep a few spares for jobs I would normally not think of. They can clean almost any tight space where you would need a small cleaning tool. Don’t throw that toothbrush out!
