Many types of flowers and especially roses have a romantic history, with their sweet fragrances, smooth and soft surface and cheerful appearance.

Roses can symbolize a lot of emotions, and even generate or renew the ones that have faded from awareness to lift an individual outlook; it is in nature's bounty for everyone to see the natural beauty in existence.

I can't tell you how often that I've sold a dozen roses to a customer with stars in their eyes. It always seems like buying a dozen roses stands for times when you are the most in love. A dozen roses is a big and bold statement. It may even be called a proclamation. I remember that the times I was offered a dozen roses in my life were few and dear.

A man came in my shop last week looking for a dozen roses. He seemed so happy and anxious to tell me why he was ordering a dozen roses.

The customer proceeded to tell me that he was buying his loving wife a dozen roses because they had just found out they were pregnant with their first child. He was so excited that he was about to dance. We had the dozen roses sent to her address and I was the lucky person that got to deliver the flowers. They live in a really beautiful house in an affluent area. They had flowers in the courtyard and it looked nice.

The lady looked a little weary when she opened the door to to be given the dozen roses. She explained to me that she had been having morning sickness. She really looked happier after the dozen roses were given to her.

The busiest time of year around my shop has got to be mother's day. We sell quite a few vases containing a dozen roses to men that decide to honor their wives.

My dad has always bought a dozen roses for my mom on Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, her birthday and their wedding anniversary. He really has kept up the purchasing of four dozen roses each year for as long as I remember. If I find a man who will buy me a dozen roses four times a year like my dad does for my mom I'll know I've found the right guy for me. I'm still waiting patiently with hope.
